Glass Eye Installation

The first Ellowyne Wilde doll that I ever saw was modeling doll fashions for a terrific seamstress on eBay. This beautiful 16" doll created by Robert Tonner, had the sweetest face, and sparkling glass eyes. I was hooked. Then I discovered that Ellowyne came with painted eyes. I was disappointed, but I really liked the dolls anyway. So I bought Essential Brunette followed by Essential Red, and then Essential Blonde. After that I lost track.

I found out from the eBay seamstress how I could have glass eyes installed. So I did, even though it was very expensive. When my Ellowyne returned with her new eyes, I was amazed at the difference. The glass eyes added a whole new dimension to the doll. I knew that I had to learn how to do this myself so that all of my growing Ellowyne collection could have glass eyes.

So through trial and error and some online research, I have taught myself to install glass eyes in Ellowyne Wilde dolls. I have also installed eyes in Madame Alexander's modern Cissy and Coquette, Tonner's Tyler Wentworth, and also in Susan Wakeen dolls. Most of my dolls now have glass eyes. I am now installing eyes for other people, and you can see my work by clicking Ellowyne Glass Eyes by Monalisa.

For Ellowyne, I install through the neck opening. Nothing is cut except for the painted eyes. On wigged dolls like Cissy, I cut the pate open, then open the eye pouches.

Pricing

I am sorry, but due to the rising cost of fuel and seemingly everything else, I have had to go up on my installation price.
